You Should’ve Left Well Enough Alone
Some people know when to walk away. Some have to learn.

THE RAW STORY BEHIND THE SONGS

No Good Company was built for the stories that don't come out clean.
These songs live in the parts of life people usually leave out of the telling—the bad decisions, old scars, complicated loyalties, hard losses, and the things people carry long after everyone else assumes they've moved on. Sometimes they're angry. Sometimes they're darkly funny. Sometimes they hit somewhere a little too close to home.
Canon isn't here to play the hero. He's the guy who's lived long enough to know there are usually three sides to every story, including the one you tell yourself. He doesn't need to be righteous, redeemed, or particularly sorry. He just needs to tell the truth.
That's why one No Good Company song can tell someone they should've left well enough alone, while another sits with a man everybody calls when nobody thinks to call him. One can stare judgment in the face without blinking, and another can look at a father's hands and see an entire lifetime written into them. Some stories are personal. Some belong to people whose battles followed them home. None of them need to be cleaned up to be worth telling.
No Good Company is for the stories that leave a mark—and the people who recognize themselves in them.
